(Texas Hill Country Series #3)
Paleontologist Lindsey Attwood has a minor breakdown when her estranged ex-husband takes custody of their daughter and takes her to Mexico for the summer. At the insistence of her twin sister and a friend, Lindsey agrees to visit them in San Saline, Texas.
She agrees to pose as a horse psychology student to help solve the mystery of missing dinosaur tracks on a local ranch. There, she meets and falls in love with cowboy Zach Truitt.
But Lindsey has been hurt in the past and struggles to conquer her fears. She has spent many years going through the motions, but not really living. Can she put all that aside and learn to live again?
This book is filled with humor and hilarity, especially when Lindsey finds a stray dog who adopts her and as she struggles in her first horse psychology lesson. There is also romance and lessons on love and life woven throughout the story. However, the mystery takes a back seat to Lindsey's efforts to overcome her fears and you almost forget its importance. Definitely worth reading.
